How to translate a Zoom meeting

Install Sigmise
Download the macOS or Windows build and open it. Zoom needs no plugin and no configuration.

Pick the two languages
Choose the language spoken in the meeting and the language you want to read. Both can change mid-call.

Join Zoom and press record
Open the meeting the way you always do. Captions appear as people speak, original and translation together.

Keep the notes afterwards
Stop recording and the summary is already written. Ask questions about the meeting later.

Zoom can translate captions itself. Whether you get them is up to the host, which is the part people run into.

- Needs an eligible Zoom Workplace plan or the Translated Captions add-on on the host side
- An administrator decides which language pairs exist
- Nothing to install — when it is available, it is right there in the meeting
- Captions are not kept as notes you can search later
